Why do I need a 30V converter for the Starlink Mini?
The Starlink Mini supports 12–48V, so 12V is technically within range. However, most real-world 12V systems don’t maintain a stable 12V supply.
Battery sag, startup demand and voltage loss through the 15m cable can push the voltage below what the Mini needs—especially when it draws around 60W while starting up and searching for satellites. This can cause dropouts, an unstable connection or prevent the dish from powering on altogether.
The step-up converter boosts your power supply to a steady 30V, providing the extra headroom needed for reliable startup and a stable connection, even with longer cable runs.

What connection type do I need for the power supply?

stronger than expected the magnetic hold is much stronger than I expected. once all four magnets are properly positioned on a clean, flat surface, the mount feels extremely secure. the rubber coating is also a great touch because it protects the paintwork never seen a scratch yet and i am ruff with it
